At Cowie’s Cows, your ranch visit is more than just a tour—it’s an up-close, interactive experience with our Highland cows, curious emus, playful goats, and a colorful variety of 12 chicken breeds. Whether you want to brush a Highland, feed treats to a goat, or simply capture beautiful photos, we’ll guide you through an unforgettable time. Every visit includes all the essentials—treats, brushes, hand sanitizer, and even help with photos. You choose how hands-on you want to be, and we’ll make sure it’s a safe and memorable encounter for both you and our animals.
For the safety and comfort of both visitors and animals, all ranch visits are weather-dependent. On very hot days, our Highland cows prefer to stay cool in the shaded gullies, making them less active and harder to manage. To ensure the best experience, we avoid booking during extreme heat, especially midday slots. Dressing appropriately is also essential—think layers, jeans, sturdy footwear, and don’t forget water, sunscreen, and a hat. We’ll handle the preparation and safety briefings, but a little planning on your end will make your ranch adventure even more enjoyable.
To reserve your private ranch visit, a booking fee is required in advance. Our rates reflect the preparation and care we dedicate to each session. For groups of 1-2, rates are $75 for 30 minutes and $100 for 60 minutes*. For larger groups (3-6 people), it’s $160 for 30 minutes and $200 for 60 minutes*. Payment secures your timeslot and includes everything you need: animal treats, grooming supplies, and photo assistance. Pricing is subject to change without prior notice. Cancellations are not accepted, so we encourage visitors to double-check their availability before booking.
