At our farm, we are raising 12 distinct breeds, including the rare Ayam Semani chicken. The Ayam Cemani is a rare and exotic breed, with only about 2,000 in the US. Originating from Sumatra, Indonesia, these striking chickens are entirely black, including their feathers, skin, and even internal organs. This unique pigmentation gives them a mysterious and almost mythical appeal. Though primarily prized for their beauty, Ayam Cemani chickens are calm and hardy, laying a modest number of cream-colored eggs. Their rarity and allure make them a highly sought-after breed.
